Jun 30, 2020 Getting To Know Our Team: Meet Morgan Adair, Stonington Feeds Stonington Contributor
“Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.”
-Henry Ford
From its inception, Stonington Feeds Stonington simply asked a community for help. Help through monetary donations from concerned citizens and businesses. Help from local organizations to distribute gift cards. And most importantly, help from devoted volunteers to keep the initiative growing and thriving.
One of the key players in helping Stonington Feeds Stonington acquire numerous donations and support, is Stonington resident Morgan Adair. After getting married at the Inn at Mystic in 2003, Morgan and her husband Tom Kasprzak decided to move and make Stonington their home. After meeting while they were both attending Eastern Connecticut State University, 16 years of marriage later has found Morgan, Tom, their 2 children Oliver and Bo, and their sweet dog Boomer, building a lovely life here in town. They enjoy hiking, family walks to the borough for ice cream, and lots of sunny summer days boating to Sandy Point.
Both Morgan and Tom were interested in what Nicole Jones had started with Stonington Feeds Stonington on Facebook and asked how they could help. With a 7 year old daughter Bo at Deans Mill School, and a 10 year old son Oliver starting at Stonington Middle in the fall, Morgan is an avidly involved member of the PTO community. She has translated this devotion and commitment whole heartedly to her contributions to SFS. Morgan served as a guest administrator for the Facebook page, managing creative content and incentive giveaways. Along with helping collect gift cards, Morgan continues to help conceptualize the next steps for the initiative.
“I would love to see Stonington Feeds Stonington continue to support our community even when the current crisis in over. There are many residents that need help even in the best of times and I hope that we can continue to find ways to help them while at the same time boosting the many small businesses in the area,” says Morgan optimistically.
Having been raised by a single mother in the quaint suburb of Avon, Connecticut, Morgan sites that her proudest accomplishment is her kids. With family being one of the most important things to her, knowing that SFS is helping local families means the world to her. Morgan’s friends describe her as shy when you first meet her, but one of the most warm hearted, trustworthy, compassionate, giving, loyal friends a person could have. Another friend said she is simply a beautiful woman, inside and out. She has proven to be an incredible asset to the Stonington Feeds Stonington team .
